Two decades of figuring it out, so you don’t have to.
I’m Sarah Kay Hoffman. I founded agutsygirl.com in 2012 and spent two decades growing it into one of the most trusted gut health platforms on the internet. Organically. No team, no big budget. I learned what it takes to build an audience, earn trust, and turn content into revenue that shows up every month. Then I systematized all of it.
Now I build that same infrastructure for other founder-led and small businesses. Systems tuned to your voice, your audience, and your highest-value revenue. The work runs without you having to touch it every day.
What used to take a team of five, I now build alone with AI in 3 days instead of 3 weeks.
Let’s Connect →Quietly doing the work.

Before I built systems for other people…
I spent over a decade doing the work myself. Content marketer and brand manager across health, e-commerce, hospitality, and local services. Brand Manager at Food Babe. Co-founder of a multi-revenue hospitality business. Different industries, same throughline: marketing that keeps working after the founder steps away from it.
Then one day I realized I’d been surviving from a place that no longer fueled me. I started writing and working it out in the open through The Bare Minimum Exit project. That’s where I found the direction I’d been craving. It was hidden in plain sight.
I didn’t want to leave research, content, writing, strategy, marketing. I just didn’t want it to look like it had for 20 years. AI was the thing that changed the shape of it. The same work I love, built faster, and finally able to help a small business move at the speed it actually needs to. What used to take a team of five, I now build alone in 3 days instead of 3 weeks.
That’s what I build now. You get the output of a 5-person marketing department for the cost of a single part-time hire. Every inquiry followed up. Every past customer re-engaged. Every piece of content compounding toward search authority. Tuned to your voice, set up once, running on its own after that.
Most small businesses are leaving earned revenue on the table. Not because the business isn’t ready, but because the systems that would catch it were never built.
A few things about me, since you’ll be working with me directly.
I’m based in a small town in Southern Minnesota. I built agutsygirl.com because my own gut health fell apart and I couldn’t find answers, so I went and found them myself. That’s pretty much how I approach everything: if I don’t know it yet, I’ll learn it, then I’ll build a system so the next person doesn’t have to start from zero.
I’m happiest with too many browser tabs open, a fresh idea I can’t stop thinking about, and good, organic coffee within reach. (Hence the countless coffee.)
If you want to see exactly what I’d build first, that’s what the audit is for.
