How long have you been Gluten Free?
Since June 20, 2010.
Do you have Celiac?
No.
Are you a Nutritionist?
No. But in the summer of 2012, I will graduate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and be fully certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Health Coach.
Are you a Certified Personal Trainer?
No.
If you’re not a Nutritionist or Certified Personal Trainer, how do you know everything you know?
Because I have lived, breathed (and will die) the lifestyle. My life revolves around acquired knowledge.
Nutrition/Food –> I walk – the -walk and talk – the -talk. I have never claimed to be a Nutritionist and I don’t give out advice to “cure” people. I am a self-educated individual who has “cured” myself through food. I have never needed a doctor to prescribe me anymore medication than a one-week trial when I was first diagnosed with Colitis. (I stopped the medication immediately and turned to food/holistic approach.)
Fitness –> A few years back I was studying to become a trainer through the NSCA. I still have all my material. While I was studying, I was also working at a health and fitness club. It was then that I decided I did not want to be a career trainer, so I never saw the test through completion. I have contemplated returning to the books just to have the certification under my belt. All workout programs, exercises and information is from years of reading, studying and learning. Again, walking – the -walk; talking – the – talk.
I’m Gluten Free. Now what?
I strive to help people with this daily. Here is a good place to start. I am kind; contact me anytime with questions:)
I don’t get what you do? What is your “job?”
Short Answer: I don’t have one! I believe that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. This is the epidemy of my life!
(Other) Short Answer: I am a full time Senior Brand Manager with Singley+Mackie, based out of Los Angeles, CA. We work hard to, “grow. engage. convert.™” in the digital space on behalf of the awesome clients we work with. This is the “Digital” me. I am also a part-time blogger; gluten-free food, fitness, healthy and happy lifestyle writer. I currently write for and partner with The Laughing Cow® & Experience Life Magazine. In 2012, I will also be accepting clients for Health Coaching, and will be booking for corporate and event speaking in and around my Health Coaching.
Will you review my product/service/app?
My #1 goal and focus is/are on my readers. I never will say, promote or do anything that I don’t 100% believe in or that I wouldn’t say or promise to my mother! In order to protect the integrity and authenticity of this blog I limit the amount of reviews. I am not a one-size fits all, and I believe in longer term partnerships vs. one-hit wonders. I welcome any and all forms of contact to further explore relationships because that is what I believe in most: The Power of a Relationship.
