Thank you for sharing, Kathy. I met someone living with hemophilia when I went to serve on a UC + Crohn’s panel.

My brother, Rod, was born with hemophilia. He will always be my hero because of all the things he did in spite of the many “can’ts” in his life. Easterseals sponsored day camps and swimming in the summers that he got to attend for free. We were introduced to children with many disabilities that opened my eyes early in life. I’ll never forget watching the two brothers who were both blind learning to swim.

This is me to a T. Thank you for sharing. SIBO is no joke. I’ve come to realize I’ve got to do what’s best for me…including eating minimal veggies & rarely fruit. Carbs…forget it. Me, like you, love carbs but they destroy me. It’s heartbreaking, if I’m being honest. Because they taste so good!
Again, thank you for sharing. Sometimes I feel like I’m on an island and nobody understands the frustration that comes with SIBO.

I have a extremely limited carbs since 2014. I have multiple food intolerances and wipes those foods from my diet, along with a diet given to me by my Chiropractor for sugar control, as well as cruciferous vegetables and any other item that didn’t do well for me. I added some things back in in July 2017, i.e. garlic, onion, broccoli, cauliflower..
Still no bread, sweets, etc. This was all prior to my recent SIBO diagnosis. I gained 15 pounds. The weight gain doesn’t make sense and I can only figure it correlates with my add-ins. I have been able to tolerate bananas since I began there low fodmap diet. I hope this gets my gut back to a decent place and that my weight will go back down. I do believe that, for me, SIBO without carbs is the path. Thank you for sharing, Sarah!
