My 1/2 Marathon Training Program includes 2 days of Strength Training. Day 1 began yesterday, as I will strength train with that workout.
When thinking about the construction of these 2 strength training programs, I took a different approach than I might typically. I did this for 2 reasons:
- I know that I will be gone and traveling a lot during these next 11 weeks.
- Running (for me) requires more endurance-related strength training.
Taking those two things into consideration, I designed my programs to focus on “circuits” mixed with moves that required little-to-no equipment and could be done almost anywhere!
