Ryan and I didn’t need to go to Disneyland to remind us of the million magical moments since we got Samarah.
And yet, going to Disneyland with our little yesterday and seeing all the magic through a child’s eyes – even through her baby 8 1/2 month old eyes – took me back to the place where….
We are still not showing her face, but if you could have seen the way her face lit up with all the noise, lights, people and activity, you’d know what I’m talking about. p.s. She was also a total scene steeler constantly. The ooohs and the ahhhhs over this little legume are a sure sign that her daddy will have his work cut out for him someday:)
Seeing Disneyland through a child’s eyes is pure innocence, and when we were paused in those moments, all I could think about was the correlation between her excitement with life and surroundings and the joy she brings to Ryan and I just by watching that excitement. Like her mama, I think she’s always going to have a deep passion for life, and at just 8 1/2 months, I think it’s one of my deepest connections with her.
Ryan is the daddy with an unparalleled positive attitude, and I am the mama who is a child at heart – who believes in inspiration, hopes, dreams, wishes and of course, magical moments.
I believe that our faith in God’s greater plan mixed with all of those things above led us to Samarah, led us to this brand new thrilling, passionate, love-filled and magical life (oh, and super exhausting by the way, too:) ).
We ended our day at Disneyland with the fireworks. I snapped several pictures, while holding Sam’s hand (which she was chewing on simultaneously – ah, teething).
I remembered something I had seen earlier in the day. It’s Walt with Mickey.
And beneath them, Walt Disney calls us “partners,”
And that I love.
But in due time, Ryan, Samarah and I will simply call ourselves -
And this was a dream our hearts made.
Love your guts,
p.s. Speaking of HEARTS, more to come:)
