A Series on Saccharides: Part I

Saccharides are natural.

The term “saccharide” is not some nasty chemical or additive you’ll find on a food label. As a matter of fact, a saccharide is simply another term for carbohydrate.

Saccharides are broken down into four groups:

After I was diagnosed with Colitis, I started out on a journey of healing my gut with food and lifestyle vs. drugs and medication.

I have healed in a huge way, in ways that I never thought would be possible. But for as pure and clean as I eat, the fact that my gut can easily be triggered off began to blow my mind. My tipping point was about a week ago, after an episode with Brussels sprouts.

It hit me almost immediately what was going on. Upon further research, my assumptions were validated. I didn’t write about this last week because I wanted to take the time to experiment with it; meditate on it.

I’m ready to share what I have learned, with the hopes that it might help one of you.

This week I’m dedicating my blog to saccharides.

A Series on Saccharides: Part I

Monosaccharides will lead the way tomorrow.

Love your guts,
SKH
