Your eyes are not deceiving you….my website looks different, and I could not be more excited!
Why the change?
I adored the old look, but it was too dark and somewhat of a “downer” for me. I talk a lot about dreams, living passionately through a simple, healthy lifestyle and embracing happiness through the #DailyJoy. I needed my website look to communicate this better. I was looking to clear more clutter, and have a look that felt more zen. And ultimately, I want my health coaching business to focus on people looking to relieve digestive distress and to find the happy life they have been hoping to come alive. When I think about my own journey on the digestive path to happiness, I think of a long struggle, but one that has found me ending truly calm and happy. THIS website communicates THAT image.
And again, I could not be more excited! The website will still take some minor tweaks and turns, but the overall look and feel will not change. It was built on a StudioPress Theme, though I have to admit that this exact theme cannot be purchased yet. The brilliant Brian Gardner was on this strategy with me. I could not be more grateful for Brian and his friendship. Everyone needs this brilliance on their side. Make sure to follow him on Twitter and to check out the entire library of StudioPress Themes.
Alright….upward and onward! Today I have an Experience Life Magazine 1-Year Subscription Giveaway! As an Experience Life Magazine Ambassador, I can’t help but adore the magazine. I am not paid by the magazine; I truly just love it and everything it stands for. It is the healthy lifestyle magazine. It is inspirational, educational and each month it arrives I get so excited!

When I think “Experience Life,” I think:
- Living life each day; being present, not looking behind or forward.
- Living life each day healthy. Being healthy means we are able to live more vibrantly. I know this for a fact because there were days when I was merely living - not living vibrantly.
- Creating experiences. Spending time, energy and money on those experiences vs. “stuff.”
- Making dreams happen. Daring to dream. Learning to embrace the experience.
And now it’s your turn….and time for me to giveaway the 1-year subscription to Experience Life Magazine! I’m not into making people do 17 actions in order to enter a giveaway. Again, I’m a simple girl who truly just wants to spread the simple happiness of a healthy lifestyle.

It makes me think of being present. I keep seeing people talk about this magazine, but have never actually seen one!
I absolutely LOVE the magazine. I know you would, too, Kerri!
It makes me think of being grateful. It seems to fuel whatever I do these days and to help push aside the negative stuff – which inevitably comes. Mag looks awesome!
Thanks, Joyce!
so lovely! and yes, Brian does beautiful work
one word…. that is tough!
hmmmm – here it is – it is redundant….
LIVE
shaBang!
xoxo
LIVE! Yes, yes, yes….
I, too, think that this theme takes away those blues you might have felt before. It’s a very clean layout. When I think about “experience life,” I don’t go right to far-away places. Instead, I think of experiencing new things like food, music and more with the company of friends and family. That’s how I like to experience life.
Love this perspective, Jesse! Thank you!
I hear “adventure,” “wisdom,” and “risk-taking” when I ponder the phrase “Experience Life.”
I hear all of those, too! Thank you!
Hopeful….there is always hope!!
Hope is an amazing thing. It’s actually where my digestive journey to recovery began. And where many other’s begin as well!
I love this magazine but I don’t get to read it that often. I think of “balance”.
Such a phenomenal magazine. Thank you!
Endless — even once I read all the articles (which span so many topics) and get everything I need out of it, there are so many uses for the magazine… The tot I care for loves to look at the pictures (can entertain him for very long car rides) and they are so vibrant and simple we use them all the time when doing crafts!
I do the SAME thing, Amy!!
‘Site looks great, Sarah!
I think of living life to the fullest – not taking anything for granted.
Danny
Thanks, Danny! Love it…”not taking anything for granted.” ANYTHING!
Being present. So important.
So true!
one word………DO! you don’t experience anything if you don’t try, put yourself out there, and actually do things in your life!
Great one! Thank you, Laurel!
“AUTHENTIC” (not false or copied; genuine; real) … that sums it up for me.
Thanks, Jeanne!
I think of doing any activity that makes you take a deep breath before you begin!
I have a breathing exercise I learned from the Integrative Institute: 4 breaths in, 7 breaths held, 8 breaths out. Works like a charm!
Divinity. That’s my one word. When we respect our physical, emotional, and spiritual self we celebrate the divinity of our own creation. From there, anything is possible.
Love this, Peter!
Happiness
That’s what it’s all about
<3
Totally:) Happy!
The word that comes to mind is… authenticity. In a media landscape full of hype, Experience Life is a rare gem.
You are spot on, Melissa!
This magazine is one of the best out there. It always makes a positive difference in my life! <3 it!
So glad you share the passion, Misty!
INSPIRING SELF-HELP MAGAZINE
That’s spot on, Chris! Thanks:)
First thing that comes to mind is to be in the present moment, to cherish what is here and what is now and just live in the moment. Because the past is something we cannot experience anymore and neither can we live the future because it has yet to come so truly, we can only experience what is here and now, at this very moment.
Thank you for stopping by, Issa!
I think of it as never turning down the chance to do something fun WITH someone else…laundry and dirty dishes will be waiting for you when you get home, but your friends and family won’t always necessarily be around. I don’t think of this in a morbid way, but in an “I don’t want to have any regrets” sort of way – and it doesn’t mean turning your back to your responsibilities either…there is room for both. Oh, and if I *do* happen to win, I’d like to give my subscription to my best friend Kimberly, who bravely moved across the country last year from Portland to Minneapolis to start fresh. She rocks – just like the insanely awesome people who always grace the cover of Experience Life.
Love your thoughts, April!
LIVE !!
Thank you, Jewel!
I think of fitness when I hear Experience Life! Jen Sinkler is the greatest fitness editor going!
LOVVVEEEE Jen Sinkler!
Sharon,
You just made my day! Thank you!
To anyone else who wants a space outside the magazine to talk fitness shop, come join us at Survival of the Fittest on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/survival.fittest.
You are most welcome, Jen!
“Outside” I find it funny that we realize our dogs need daily exercise, our plants need sunlight and water but we don’t make sure we get those on a daily basis! Being outside is the only way I feel… human.
Yes! Vitamin D – for do it:)
“Real,” which is what I find to be so refreshing about it.
I find the same to be true of the magazine. Nice breath of fresh air!
Hi Sarah!
I guess when I read this magazine, it makes me feel ‘wonder-full’. I just love it.
Love the new blog look!
Avril
Thank you for the compliment, Avril!
The word I would use to describe Experience L!fe magazine is CATALYST. I have made so many positive changes to my attitude (and life) since discovering the magazine.
All of these words are so phenomenal. I think I’ll have to make a purttty word cloud with them!
It makes me think of the words “fully and completely” because why do things halfway?
Never do things halfway!
For me the heart of Experience Life lies in the phrase “Eureka!” because I feel like I FINALLY found a publication that sends pertinent, balanced, researched, joyful, revolutionary messages about health!
Lovely!
Experience. Life. means to me to embrace it all – the good, the bad and the ugly. To take risks and run toward the fear. To celebrate every day. To find meaning in everything – from the mundane to the profound. To never tire of learning. To be in touch with your own inner awesomeness!
This is so perfect, Elaine. Love your words!
LOVE! We all need more love in the world and it helps you experience life from a positive perspective.
“Follow your bliss!” That’s my experience life in a nut shell.
I am a participant on life’s stage.(not a spectator)
Love that, Sherry!
Getting out & going to different events, leaving the house, and doing different stuff! Experiencing new things!
Thanks, Claire!
When I see the phrase “experience life” I think:
Be Bold and dont look back!
Thanks, Megan!
Experiencing life, for me, is paying attention … To my son’s smile, my students’ stories, to the small things that make each life unique.
(this is my first time here, looking forward to reading more of your blog!)
Love it…thank you so much, Tracy! So great to e-meet:)
Experience Life… without judgement & outside of your comfort zone.
This is something I’m working on now. Its a goal for my 2012 journey.
Awesome, Kari!
ENJOY ALL THE MOMENTS….
Forward.
Ever forward, never back, eyes always on the horizon. Forward, experiencing my life as I choose.
Seize the day!
Happiness!
Family!!
Definitely makes me think of slowing down and being in the moment.
makes me think “live to day stronger/better than yesterday”!! marianne
Clean eating, clean living, happiness!
“THERE ARE NO REGRETS, ONLY LESSONS LEARNED!”
)
Maybe it’s a little cliche, but I think of the word “Taste.” Why not try every little thing that comes our way? I do want to taste everything, food included. The world is vast and exciting– let’s try as much of it as we possibly can!
Experience Life is about being truly ALIVE.
I can sum up “Experience Life” in one word – BALANCE.
Eat healthy, but enjoy a treat once in a while.
Love, and be loved.
Exercise your body and mind, then curl up on the couch and enjoy a good movie.
Open your mind, but don’t compromise your values.
Educate yourself, and pass the gift of knowledge on to others.
Have an abundance of fun and silliness in your day, but focus on the important stuff.
Let time spent with children bring out your inner child,
Let time spent wiith seniors inspire you to learn and embrace our ever evolving world.
Give and receive with equal amounts of enthusiasm.
I haven’t seen an issue, but I’ll look for it! A
Thanks, Adrienne!
you get one life, Go live it .. on YOUR terms.
Love this! Thanks, Laura!
Hey Sarah – only one word comes to mind – “BE”
BE present…BE grateful…BE bold…BE happy…BE balanced…BE yourself!
Live in harmony & balance.
